18. Weekly Profile
18.1 Weekly Wick Timing
Weekly profiling applies the same manipulation-then-expansion logic as daily and 4h/6h profiling, one fractal step up — the day the weekly wick prints, and the key level it forms from, sets the read for the rest of the week.
- Early-week wick: the weekly wick forms Monday or Tuesday, and the expansion leg runs Wednesday through Thursday.
- Midweek wick: the same shape, but the wick forms later — Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday — pushing the expansion leg into Wednesday through Friday instead.
- Thursday counter: Monday through Wednesday consolidate near the weekly open without engaging a key level at all; Thursday then sweeps both that accumulated range and a key level, with the reversal/expansion playing out Thursday into Friday.
Which of these three is forming — from where and when the weekly wick prints — is the organising question for trading the rest of the week; the same swing/key-level/CiC logic applies here as at any other timeframe.
Once an early-week reversal sets up a weekly bias, use the mid-week day’s open (typically Wednesday) as a validity check: opening on the side that supports the original bias validates the intra-week key level as the invalidation reference; opening the other way invalidates it, and price should be expected to continue in the new direction instead.
