18. Self Tips

2 min read

Before entering any trade, always check:

  • Where daily is going.
  • What daily is trading away from.
  • Whether daily logic aligns with 4H / 6H profiling.
  • Whether 30m / 1H price action is clean.
  • Close-proximity draws.
  • Close-proximity gaps.
  • Whether the draw is low-resistance liquidity.
  • Whether the trade is avoiding protected swings.
  • Whether the current candle is C1 / C2 / C3 / C4+.
  • Whether there is a nearby driver.
  • Whether price has retraced into a gap before the driver and failed to reverse.
  • Whether the DoL has already been reached.
  • Whether the asset is leading, lagging, decoupled, or re-syncing.
  • Whether SS is present.
  • Whether the entry has displacement.
  • Whether the current MTF candle has a long wick.
  • Whether RR is still worth taking.
  • Whether expansion can be timed by SS, HTF open, new key level, or a driver after failed gap reversal.
  • Whether failure swing has SS + gap away.
  • After SS, whether the planned asset is now the new leading asset.
  • Whether entry is close to a new 90m / 4H / 6H opening.
  • Whether the CISD choice fits the model:
    • first CISD for continuation;
    • second CISD for reversal.
  • Whether the LTF signature is a bulky-bodied CiSD.
  • Whether a failure-swing CiSD is valid if the ideal CiSD is too far away.
  • Whether CiC is confirming an existing bias rather than being used to invent one.

Final rule:

If in doubt, do not enter.
